Princess Catherine reportedly appreciates the fact the King was able to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children recently, a source has claimed. Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reunited with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House.

The reunion saw the parents bring their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, with them to see their royal grandfather. This is the first time a meeting between Charles and these two grandchildren has taken place since 2022, with the family living across the pond in the US. While Harry, Meghan and their children did not see Harry’s estranged brother during Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine’s, recent UK visit, it is believed that Catherine felt positive about the family reuniting with the King.

A source told US Weekly that Catherine “appreciated” Meghan’s gesture to bring the kids to meet with her father-in-law, King Charles.

She reportedly feels this way despite the fact that Catherine and William themselves are not on talking terms with Harry and Meghan following years of rifts.

The source said: “Kate values harmony, but she also supports where William is emotionally. She would love for things to come together and be repaired, but will support William and his timeline.”

The source continued: “There’s still a lot of hurt, and it’s going to take time to heal.”

Prince William and Catherine have reportedly not spoken to Harry and Meghan for some time, with a rift between the two couples having existed for many years.

It is believed that while there were some disagreements between the brothers and their wives when Harry and Meghan were still working royals, tensions escalated after The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit royal life in 2020.

The final straw was believed to be Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, which saw him talk critically about William and Catherine.
