Vanessa Bryant, the wife of the late great Kobe Bryant, recently remembered living in Pacific Palisades, the LA area currently consumed by raging wildfires.
The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, run by Vanessa Bryant, partnered with a non-profit organization to help provide relief to the victims affected by the disaster.
In a post on Instagram, Vanessa Bryant shared several reels and images of what is happening at Baby2Baby headquarters. She helped pack relief goods and write uplifting messages to those in need. She also wrote an emotional message, reminiscing about their first home as a family in Pacific Palisades.
“Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started),” Vanessa wrote. “We have so many beautiful memories from living in L.A. There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in LA who are affected by the fires.”

As Vanessa Bryant mentioned, the couple lived at a mansion in Pacific Palisades after getting married in 2001. They also lived in Newport Beach and Irvine before moving to Pelican Crest.
Bryant currently lives in Newport Coast, which is less than an hour away southeast of Los Angeles, with her daughters. Her eldest daughter, Natalia, is currently working as a model and studying at USC. Bianka is eight years old, while Capri is five.

One of Kobe Bryant’s infamous moments was his “airball” game in Game 5 of the 1997 Western Conference semifinals against the Utah Jazz. With Shaquille O’Neal fouling out late in the fourth quarter, the LA Lakers turned to the rookie to help them get the win.
Bryant famously airballed four shots, one in regulation and three in overtime, as the Lakers got eliminated by the Jazz that night. Speaking to reporters the following season, he revealed that he immediately went to the gym in Palisades High School to train.
“I didn’t have an offseason,” Bryant said, according to the Basketball Network. “I went straight to Palisades High that night, and as soon as we landed, I went straight to the gym. And the janitor opened the gym for me, and I was there till the sun came up. I was back there again the next day and, the next day after that, and the next day after that.”
Things eventually turned for Bryant, who became one of the greatest players in NBA history, winning five championships in his career. Bryant tragically died on Jan. 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash along with his daughter Gianna and seven other passengers, including the pilot.
