Former NFL star Antonio Brown has become more known for his off-the-field antics than his NFL career since he ran off the field as a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs.
This week, he changed the narrative around him with an amazing gesture.
Brown launched a fund for the victims and their families of the terror attack that took place in New Orleans in the wee hours of New Year’s Day.
Fourteen people were tragically killed and more than 30 others injured when the suspect, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, drove a truck into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street.
He would be killed after he traded gunfire with responding officers.
Antonio Brown launched the GoFundMe on Thursday, raising more than $3,500 in the first few hours. It has since ballooned to an even bigger number.
Brown reshared the GoFundMe on Saturday, and the amount is now over $24,000.
Fans rightfully praised him for his actions:
“Doing amazing work, AB!” one fan stated.
“God bless you, AB!” another fan added.
“Great work, AB! Wonderful,” a third fan said.
“Thank you for doing much good for others! God bless you and all who are helping,” a fourth fan said of Antonio Brown.
“You deserve a medal today…not all these other loosers,” another X user said.
“Letsss goooo!!!,” one final excited fan added.
Antonio Brown Changes The Conversation About Himself With One Gesture
Antonio Brown went from one of the best wide receivers in the NFL to a troll on social media.
All it took was for him to create a GoFundMe page to support the families of those killed in the truck attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day to change the conversation about him.
Dwight Howard Brutally Trolls 76ers Star Joel Embiid For His Flopping Skills

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has established himself as one of the toughest players to guard in the NBA. By using his combination of size, strength, and skill, the 7-foot center has dominated opponents, leading the league in free throw attempts per game in three of the last four seasons. Despite Minnesota Timberwolves commentators’ criticism, his ability to draw fouls and exploit his physicality has made him a nightmare for defenders.
Former NBA star Dwight Howard recently shared his perspective on guarding Embiid during an appearance on the Thanalysis Show. When asked how he would approach defending Embiid, Howard laid out his strategy after trolling Embiid for his flopping skills.
“He is probably, I think, the toughest to guard because he knows how to flop. He knows how to use his size and his strength when he has to. He can shoot real well. If I was checking him, I would have to beat him up and down the court, not let him get easy points, don’t go for no pump fakes,” Howard said.
“Usually when he gets it in his left hand, he does it with his right, but he likes to left hesi to the pull-up. So, I would be right up on that. So, as soon as have it like this, I’m crowding his space because I know he’s either going to do like this and try to go around me,” he added.
Paul George Heaps High Praise On Joel Embiid After Win Over Brooklyn
The Philadelphia 76ers dominated the Brooklyn Nets with a 123-94 victory at Barclays Center, thanks to Joel Embiid’s stellar performance. After the game, his teammate Paul George admired the 2022-23 NBA MVP’s competitive spirit and leadership on the court.
