Emmerdale actress Roxy Shahidi got ready for her final close-up as Leyla Harding on the ITV show with a six-step Korean facial you can recreate at home

Emmerdale watchers were left in tears this week after actress Roxy Shahidi made her exit from the ITV show.
Roxy, who has played beloved character Leyla Harding for over 17 years, departed in a way you’d only expect from a soap opera: equal parts dramatic and heartbreaking.
Her heart-wrenching departure was aired during Wednesday’s (February 19) Emmerdale episode, and if you could see through your tears, you may have looked at some of Roxy’s close-up moments from the final episode and wondered how on earth she managed to get such flawless skin while seemingly wearing very little make-up.
We’ve done some digging, and we have the answer: Roxy, 41, headed to get a Korean-style facial before she filmed her final moments on Emmerdale.

Roxy’s facialist, Francesca, posted a Reel of the star getting pampered using six different skincare, massage and tool techniques – and we can see why her skin looks so amazing now.
“If you’re looking for a treatment that has everything, this is the one: Korean style, results-driven, science-lead and relaxing! This facial has it all,” the caption reads.
Francesca then expands on the six steps of the facial, noting these as key elements:
Deep facial cleanse
IPL
microneedling
massage
lymph drainage and Gua sha
LED

Zoe says: “This treatment combines microneedling and radiofrequency (RF) technologies to rejuvenate the skin. Microneedling uses tiny needles to stimulate collagen and improve skin texture, while RF energy heats the deeper layers of the skin to tighten and address concerns like wrinkles and sagging. I’ve had it in clinic and I was amazed to find this home gadget felt very similar. So far I’ve only done two home treatments, and results are best seen after weekly use for two months, but my skin already looks and feels more plump than usual.”

Laura says: “Hollywood’s favourite face-sculpting tool is fast becoming popular amongst non-celeb shoppers too, with sets and bundles now availabe. It’s one of the few beauty gadgets I’ve tried that gives instantly noticeable results, snatching the jawline and depuffing around the eyes.”
