In less than two weeks, Angel Reese will make her debut in the new Unrivaled league. Ahead of opening night, she reacted to a recent workout clip of one of her new teammates.
When the players were divided into teams, Reese found herself on Rose Basketball Club. Among the women she will be playing alongside is Lexie Hull. During the WNBA season, the former No. 6 pick plays alongside Caitlin Clark on the Indiana Fever.
On Wednesday afternoon, Rose posted a clip of Hull getting shots up on the team’s Instagram account. Reese hyped up her Unrivaled teammate in the comment section with a three-word reaction.
“GO BIG LEXIEEEE,” Reese wrote.

Hull is coming off her best season in the pros, finishing tied for fifth in Sixth Woman of the Year voting. Across 34 games, the 24-year-old averaged 5.5 points and 2.5 reboundings, shooting an impressive 47.1% from beyond the arc.
Aside from Hull and Angel Reese, the rest of Rose Basketball Club includes Chelsea Gray, Brittney Sykes, Kahleah Copper and Azurá Stevens. They won’t be waiting long to debut, as they are part of the opening night doubleheader. Reese and company will be in action on Jan. 17, facing off against Vinyl.
Lexie Hull and Angel Reese seen working on together in recent practice clip
Leading up to opening night, all the Unrivaled squads have begun practicing to prepare for the new three-on-three environment. In some recent clips that have surfaced, Lexie Hull and Angel Reese appear to be improving their chemistry on the court.
Most of the players in Unrivaled are still relatively fresh with the WNBA season ending not too long ago. However, these practice reps are crucial for a player like Reese. She had her rookie year cut short due to injury, and Unrivaled will mark her return to competitive play.
On Tuesday evening, Rose posted a snippet of footage from their practice that day. In the clip, Hull and Angel Reese are seen operating in the pick-and-roll. The two seamlessly worked together as the play resulted in an easy layup for the All-Star forward.
Before getting injured, Reese was a double-double threat for the Chicago Sky on a nightly basis. She ended her rookie campaign with averages of 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds, finishing second in ROY voting behind Caitlin Clark.
Now fully recovered, Reese is poised to continue showing she’s one of the game’s top young talents. Seeing as she’s one of the more notable names among mainstream fans, her return to play should be a big storyline opening night.

Umar Nurmagomedov is here to carry forward his uncle’s legacy. Creating a strong case for himself after going undefeated in the UFC, Nurmagomedov now stands on the brink of history. After just six matches in the promotion, he will be facing Merab Dvalishvili for a bantamweight title fight. And while the fight with Dvalishvili is expected to be tough for Umar, the 29-year-old is utterly confident about becoming the champion.
What’s more? Nurmagomedov is also sure that he will not be incurring a lot of injuries in his UFC 311 title fight. Trying to fight as many times as possible, the Dagestani fighter made a bold claim of predicting a three-match schedule for 2025.
“Whoever wins this fight, I think O’Malley is next. [O’Malley] wants Merab to win, not because of a rematch, he thinks Merab gonna be more easy than me… I will fight 3 times in this year. Perfect for me is June and October,” said Nurmagomedov in an interaction with MMA Junkie.
Meanwhile, building up to the big fight on January 11, 2025, both Umar and Merab are strengthening their cheering team. While the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov returns to his cousin’s corner, Merab Dvalishvili could very well pull off a stunner.
Merab Dvalishvili Might Rope In Best Friend To Negate Khabib And Umar Nurmagomedov Threat
Umar Nurmagomedov made it official that his uncle Khabib would be cheering for him when he battles for the title. This could be a significant mental boost for the Dagestani, as having a legend like Khabib will make him fine-tune his skills further. But Merab Dvalishvili is not lagging behind, either. He might have the UFC featherweight champion, Ilia Topuria, turn up in his corner!
