Jordi Vilasuso will play Justin Ramos on the Amazon Prime Video soap, The Bay, according to Soap Opera Digest.
The role was previously held by David Lago, who also starred on The Young and the Restless.
Jordi, 42, was a part of the soaps world until 2022 when he left TYATR.
“I’m really excited to start working on The Bay,” he told the outlet.
“The feedback’s been tremendous, and everybody’s really excited for me to be back on a show. It’s gonna feel good to be on a set again.”
He is no stranger to soap operas because besides TYATR, Jordi has also acted on Days of Our Lives and All My Children.
‘AMBITIOUS BUSINESSMAN’
Jordi shared that he is excited to play a character that he has never portrayed before.
“I would describe him as an ambitious businessman, which people haven’t really seen me do,” he said.
“I’ve played a cop and doctors, and a guest appearance once as a sleazy businessman, but Justin is on the up and up.”
“He’s a good guy who gets entangled with one of the richest families in town as well as involved with partners who are not as agreeable as he would want them to be. There’s also tension between him and other characters that may lead to romance,” Jordi revealed.

Jordi told Soap Opera Digest that The Bay’s creator, Gregori J. Martin, reached out to his management and asked if he wanted to be on the soap and he agreed.
The Bay follows Bay City residents whose town is cursed by Senator Red Garrett, the grandfather of socialite Sara Garrett.
Their lives are filled with sex, lies, and scandals.
‘TAKEN BY SURPRISE’
Jordi was fired from The Young and the Restless in 2022 and it took him by surprise.
The feedback’s been tremendous, and everybody’s really excited for me to be back on a show. It’s gonna feel good to be on a set again.

He played Rey Rosales from 2018 to 2022, but the character was killed off in a horrific car crash.
“I had just signed on for another three years, but in retrospect, I should have read the writing on the wall, because once you’re the only one of a [soap] family left, your days are numbered,” Jordi told the outlet.
“I really enjoyed some of the stories I got to tell but it’s a gig and you’ve got to take those blows and then move onward and upward. Fortunately, I have a great agent and reps who still believe in me.”
After leaving the soap, Jordi focused on expanding his family as his wife, Kaitlin, was expecting their third baby at the time, Lucy, who was born at the end of 2023.
They are also parents to Riley, 11, and Everly, 7.
JORDI REACTS
A few weeks after Jordi was let go from TY&TR, he blasted the show on his podcast.
On Making It Work, Jordi and Kaitlin shaded the soap while also thanking fans for their support.
“I had thoughts on your exit storyline, for sure,” Kaitlin said.
Jordi could barely find his words, but he agreed with his wife.
He ended with a sarcastic chuckle.
Kaitlin said that it was nice to hear that the fans on social media had the same thoughts.
“Because it was a little shocking, the exit,” she said.
“That was, what it was. But it was really nice that people are saying, ‘Hey, Rey deserved better than that!’”
Jordi reiterated that he appreciated all of the love and the support.
