Travis Hunter’s close friend Kai Cenat has shared his thoughts on the drama involving the star defensive back and his girlfriend Leanna Lenee.
Travis hasn’t been having the best time despite winning the Heisman Trophy last month.
He has since lost the Alamo Bowl, though that might have been the least of his worries given the storm around his personal life. Hunter’s girlfriend, to whom he’s engaged, has been a subject of major online criticism following certain questionable actions, including her hesitance to stand up after he was named the 90th Heisman.
Both Travis and his GF have deactivated their Instagram accounts, with the Colorado star admitting the criticism has taken a toll on both of them, revealing Leanna was drinking and crying herself to sleep while it’s been draining him too.
Kai Cenat Shares His Thoughts On Travis Hunter Situation
Cenat recently sat down with Shannon Sharpe on the former NFL star’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ and discussed the saga briefly after being asked for his thoughts on the matter.
The podcaster and musician suggested that the under-fire couple must figure things out, though he acknowledged how hard it must be for them.
He said:
“Yeah, I’ve seen them deactivate their accounts. They probably gotta just escape it [social media hate]. That’s what they gotta do. Just figure that out. That’s their business… [But] it is hard. I know… It will be tough.”
Meanwhile, Travis Hunter is looking forward to the next phase of his career, with the NFL Draft nearing.
He is expected to be among the first names called, if not the first, when NFL teams begin their selection process later in the year.
It does appear that he’s sticking it out with Leanna despite most people urging him to dump her.
VIDEO: Leaked Audio Reveals Draymond Green Mocking Refs Following Heated Altercation With Zach Edey, Receives Technical Foul For Saying ‘Boom’

Draymond Green says ‘Boom’ every time he makes a three-pointer. The same was the case when he dropped one beyond the arc after going band for band against Zach Edey. But we only got a clear hold of his words when he mocked referees for the technical foul against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Green did not hold back in his criticism of the officiating during the Golden State Warriors 121-113 victory over Memphis. After facing a controversial technical foul for what he deemed an innocuous expression of celebration, Green aired his grievances in a post-game interview.
After the referee assessed him a flagrant foul for a play involving Zach Edey, where he made no contact with Edey’s head or neck, this incident occurred. Frustrated by the calls, Green sarcastically applauded as Edey took his free throws and later expressed disbelief over receiving a technical for celebrating with his catchphrase “Boom.”
Recently, after the game, someone leaked audio in which Dray could be clearly heard talking to the refs. When the announcement stated that officials had upgraded Green’s foul for shouting “Boom” to a foul penalty, he couldn’t do anything but smile. Soon after, when he saw the referee passing by, Green shouted, “That’s a surprise.” He continued to shout the phrase repeatedly until the ref became agitated.
The Bay Area power forward, however, felt he was unfairly treated for just celebrating his shot. He took the post-game interview while elaborating on what exactly he did on the court, and he discussed his displeasure with the official’s reaction.
