Vernon Kay has declared he is ‘absolutely thrilled’ following the announcement of his latest BBC venture. The BBC Radio 2 presenter is currently gearing up for his comeback to television as one of multiple presenters for this year’s Children In Need appeal programme, scheduled for Friday (November 14).
However, it has now emerged that Vernon will return to our screens in 2026 with a brand new celebrity quiz programme, called Do You Know Your Place?
Produced by Stellify Media from Northern Ireland, each instalment will witness Vernon challenging his three famous guests’ understanding of the UK, assisted or hampered by The Traitors star Paul Gorton serving as Vernon’s ‘unreliable’ tour guide.
Paul will venture out across various towns and cities in each episode, posing questions to the celebrities in the studio – their challenge being to distinguish truth from falsehood, reports Manchester Evening News.

The stars will also participate in studio games with Vernon, with the celebrity achieving the highest number of correct responses claiming victory, and an overall champion being declared at the week’s conclusion.
Vernon remarked about the upcoming series: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be fronting Do You Know Your Place? – it’s a cracking new quiz that’s all about the people and places we know best.
“It’s got great banter, brilliant guests, and that classic British competitive streak. I can’t wait for everyone to see it on BBC Two.
Rob Unsworth, the BBC’s Head of Daytime and Early Peak Commissioning, commented: “We can’t wait to share a brand new quiz, Do You Know Your Place? – in which Vernon Kay will see if famous faces can unpick which of the facts Paul from The Traitors tells them about our towns and cities are actually true.
“[And] for an unforgettable, stunning treat, join us for Ronan Keating’s Wild Atlantic, as the much-loved singer takes us on a deeply personal journey along the west coast of Ireland.”
