It’s the night before Valentine’s Day on Emmerdale and tensions are rising between two residents right before the big arguments that lead to the f@tal limo crashes

There were tense scenes in Emmerdale on Thursday night, as Cain Dingle was arrested in connection with the disappearance of Anthony Fox.

It was recently revealed that Ruby was the one who k!lled her father, after weeks of Aaron Dingle believing it was him. As John hid the body – the four decided to come up with a plan. Chas Dingle was then also in on the plan as she overheard the four talking. Cain then became involved, but tonight, things took a turn for him.

Suspicion has continued to grow over Anthony’s disappearance after he began failing to show up for scheduled hospital appointments. Unfortunately for Cain, the involvement of his garage to tear apart Anthony’s car has caused suspicion around himself.

Now, Cain has someone else to worry about, Caleb. After finding out Cain had slept with his wife, a sneaky Caleb decided to plant Anthony’s missing gold tooth in Cain’s car. However, his ‘evil plan’ didn’t go quite the way he wanted to as Aaron came to his house to deliver the tooth back to him.

After nothing was found on the garage premises, Cain was free to leave, but it doesn’t look like that’s the end of things. As Cain got up to leave the station, he was told: “Until we see Mr Fox in the flesh, we’ll keep asking questions. So maybe don’t go too far.”

Fans believe Caleb’s betrayal of Cain will have nasty consequences
Back at home, Caleb then threatened Aaron that he’d have him in prison if he even breathed a word to Cain about what he’d done. Aaron then learnt Caleb had CCTV footage of the night which ‘dropped him in deeper than Cain,’ in Caleb’s words.

However, fans don’t believe Caleb will get away with betraying both Cain and Aaron, as one wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “The end is nigh for Caleb,” while another wrote: “Caleb doing the dirty on Cain. You’re gonna get buried, pal.” A third echoed: “Caleb, your days are numbered.”

Another wrote: “Totally get Caleb’s obviously beyond angry at Cain right now but still to deliberately set his own Brother up for murder really? Especially knowing everything Moira’s going through right about now. As if Cain’s not gona work out who set him up #Emmerdale.”

A fourth shocked fan penned: “This is the craziest revenge i am have in a soap in a long time #Emmerdale”.

Elsewhere, the village were building up towards Valentines Day as Liam asks Aaron for his blessing to propose to his mum, Chas.
