Sunday night (September 21) saw a 20/20 special called The Happiest Story On Earth: 70 Years Of Disneyland air on ABC.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance in the show to discuss their experiences with Disneyland.

Harry went to Disneyland, Florida, with Prince William and Princess Diana back in 1993 when he was eight years old.

I went with my mum and my brother. I remember it very, very well.

Speaking in the documentary, Harry said: “I went with my mum and my brother. I remember it very, very well.”

He added: “I remember losing it as a kid with all the characters. Like, losing it.”

Body language Judi James told the Express that Harry appeared “sad” when discussing his brother in the show. She said: “When he tells the interviewer he ‘went there with my mum and my brother’, his eyes come down to perform an eye-dart suggesting he is reflecting on those two people, and his facial expression takes on a sadder look.”

Meanwhile, Meghan chimed in, saying that the park was “more accessible” to her due to being raised in Southern California. However, she added that going to the park was “still the biggest treat in the world”.

Meghan also recalled going to Disneyland on her grad night in high school.

“I don’t even know why they let us do that,” she said. Laughing, Harry said: “That sounds like a lot of fun. Can you do that in your forties?”

Harry and Meghan, 44, then opened up about their recent trip to Disneyland earlier this year.

They went to the park to celebrate their daughter, Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday.

Speaking of his children’s reactions, he said: “They’re like, ‘This is amazing!’ Like, guys, this isn’t even the front of it. Prepare yourself. You’re about to be blown away.”

He then continued, saying: “To see the kids throw themselves into these experiences when they have no idea what they’re walking into – it was amazing. And it brings out the kid in you again.”

During the special, Harry and Meghan shared photos of their children at the Disneyland park.

One photo showed Archie and Lilibet facing away from the camera as they leaned over a table full of birthday treats for the little princess.

Harry, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet’s trip to Disneyland

Back in June, to celebrate Lilibet’s fourth birthday, the Sussexes enjoyed a two-day trip to Disneyland in Florida.

Taking to her Instagram at the time, Meghan shared a video, consisting of some adorable clips of the family’s time in Disneyland.

Royal fans got glimpses of Lilibet meeting Frozen princess Elsa, Meghan, Harry, and the kids on the log flume ride, at the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride, eating corn dogs, and on the carousel.

A beautiful, two-tiered The Little Mermaid-inspired birthday cake was also seen, as was a snap of the family on the Cars ride.

Meghan also included an adorable family snap.

“Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!” the duchess captioned the post.
