The Chase star Anne Hegerty couldn’t hide her disappointment as a mistake in the final chase lost her the game. Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players; Genevieve, Simon, Nick and Suzanne, who were hoping to walk away with some cash. The team looked to be getting off to a positive start following Genevieve’s impressive cash builder, with the 43-year-old answering six questions correctly.
However, Anne was on top form and caught her before she could make it back to her teammates. Up next was Simon, who earned £5,000 in his cash builder. Thankfully history didn’t repeat itself just yet as the 26-year-old became the first player through to the final chase.
The third player to take on The Governess was Nik, who arrived at the table with £6,000. The police officer, 31, had no troubles during the head-to-head, sailing through to the final chase with the extra cash.
The team’s total was at £11,000 before Suzanne stepped up to play. Like Nik, the 53-year-old answered six questions correctly in the cash builder. Despite a nail-biting round with Anne, Suzanne joined her teammates in the final chase, taking their total to £17,000.
The team ended on a total of 18, kickstarting the beginning of a nail-biting final chase. With just eight seconds to go, Anne had just one question left to answer.

Bradley asked: “Who played Chris Harper in the film Calendar Girls?”
Unable to think of the answer, Anne passed on the question. Debating the answer, Nik said Chris was the main character, meaning she was played by Helen Mirren.
That answer turned out to be correct, meaning Anne had just four seconds to answer two questions. The Governess ran out of time with one question left to answer, meaning the trio went home with £5,666 each.
Anne recognised her mistake afterwards, saying: “This game turns on tiny little moments. If I had just registered that I haven’t actually seen Calendar Girls and didn’t stop to think Chris could be a woman’s name as well. So yeah.”
Turning to the team, Bradley joked that they should thank Helen Mirren for their win.
