NFL fans are not happy with the condition of the surface the Kansas City Chiefs have to practice on ahead of their game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil this Friday
Chiefs @ Chargers – NFL Game Preview for September 05, 2025
Accusations of the game being rigged have surfaced well in advance of the first snap, while fans have also had some things to say about the bespoke scorebug for the fixture.
Since then, photos of the team’s practice field have gone into circulation online and haven’t gotten the best reviews because the surface looks a bit bumpy.
Check it out in the post from Kansas City Star reporter Sam McDowell, which is right below:
“That field DOES NOT look even at all. Going to really , really , really , p****ed off is there’s a tweaked ankle (looking at you Hollywood), because of this crap field,” one user wrote in the comments.

“The NFLPA is somehow okay with this. We know the NFL doesn’t care as long as they make more money….” said another.
“The NFL couldn’t get a local pro soccer club field for a day?” asked a third.
The Chargers actually have no such concerns as they did secure a football field, having done their practice on the Corinthians’s training ground, which seemed way more accommodating.
Kansas City Chiefs Facing 2-Hour Drive After 12-Hour Flight

Tonight’s game will be held at Arena Corinthians, which comes with a fresh set of challenges. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has revealed that the team will have a two-hour drive to the stadium.
“I know the stadium’s two hours away from the hotel,” the TE said on his ‘New Heights’ podcast. “That’ll be a unique experience driving to the game for two hours, the old college football way that we used to drive… we were dealt a hand and we gotta play it.”
“It is what it is. It’ll be rewarding if we go down there and find a way to win knowing that this is such a unique schedule and unique experience. But I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to go down to Brazil,” he added.
The Chiefs star was also not all that happy about the 12-hour flight, which he compared to flying to London and having a day ahead to rest, but he still expects to have a “f**king blast” once the fixture kicks off.
His brother, Jason Kelce, has also been dealt an inconvenience as ESPN has barred him from covering the game.
This season’s curtain raiser featured the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys in a contest that experienced a one-hour delay in the third quarter due to lightning strikes. There are no such concerns for tonight’s game.
