Despite having one of the worst seasons of his career in 2024, Kelce wants to keep having fun in the NFL.

Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are still the best team in the league, but that isn’t the main reasoning for him staying put and not retiring..
In fact, the driving voice for him staying in the league is his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Kelce revealed on the Stephen A. Smith show that Swift wants him to keep playing and that she love going to games.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game,” he said.
“She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams.”
Kelce only has one year left on his contract with the Chiefs, so it’s possible that he plays out that final year before going to settle down with Swift.
He will only be 36 in the final year of his contract though, so it’s possible he signs another extension if he plays well in 2025.
The Chiefs’ playoff success could be a big factor in that future decision.
For now, NFL fans are excited to hear that Kelce is sticking around in the league and shared on social media.
“Love it! Why wouldn’t she? She’s done touring for awhile,” one fan said.

“Ok he’s not retiring,” a fourth fan said.

Kelce had statistically his worst season of his career in 2024.
‘Well-talked-about personal life’
Travis Kelce was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift during an interview with Good Morning America.
But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave a cagey response.
“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce told GMA.
“I’ve always been a very grounded guy. It might not come off that way when I’m playing football.
“But off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road.
“Because you never know what opportunities are going to present themselves.”
The future Hall of Fame tight end only went for 823 yards with three touchdowns.
It is the second-straight season that Kelce has failed to reach the 1,000-yard mark.
Despite his struggles, the Chiefs were still dominated and managed to play to a 15-2 record.
They captured the No. 1 seed in the AFC once again and will play in the Divisional Round on Saturday against the Houston Texans.
Kansas City is on the hunt for a third-consecutive Super Bowl.
