Former Lakers Trainer Shares Bizarre & Disgusting Locker Room Story About Shaquille O’Neal

Former Los Angeles Lakers trainer Gary Vitti recently shared a shocking locker room story highlighting how far Shaquille would go for playful jabs. During an appearance on Byron Scott’s Fast Break podcast, Vitti revealed the extreme caution he had to exercise around the Hall of Famer.
From sealed food to hidden toothbrushes, nothing was safe around him. The trainer said he avoided eating anything that was not hermetically sealed and never left personal items unattended, knowing that Shaquille’s antics were often downright disgusting.
The Incident happened on the team bus when Hearn urgently needed to use the restroom. As he was rushing, Shaquille stuck out his leg and tripped him. Hearn fell and had an accident. Shaquille then took Hearn’s soiled pants from the trash and kept them as souvenirs.
Vitti said, “I love Shaq. I absolutely adore him, but you had to be looking over your shoulder all the time. All the time. Like, you couldn’t leave a toothbrush out or anything like that, ’cause he’s going to stick it in his c***k. You couldn’t eat any food that was out… I mean, if it wasn’t hermetically sealed, I didn’t eat it if he was around.”
“So I go over to the urinal and I made the big mistake of not checking to see if he was in the stall,” Vitti added. “I’m peeing, good flow, everything’s good. All of a sudden, I hear my name being called behind me. I turn around and he’s standing up, seven feet tall, right? He’s standing up in the stall, and he’s holding a piece of toilet paper after he wiped his butt with it. I said it about as nicely as I possibly could. So, you know what was on the toilet paper, right? So, I turn [and say], ‘Oh man, that’s disgusting.’ [He said], ‘Look at it.’ I said, ‘I’m not looking at it’ … I see something out of the corner of my eye. He threw it at me.”
The prank missed, much to Vitti’s relief. Still, the trainer, who spent 32 years with the Lakers, spoke fondly of Shaquille. He believes the big man could be the greatest if he truly wanted it.

Singer Paula Abdul believes Shaquille O’Neal was anything but boring as a neighbor. The Former Laker Girl revealed that Shaquille brought the house next to hers in Los Angeles after she showed it to him. While they became friends, Abdul quickly learned that quickly learned that Shaquille’s wild parties, especially on New Year’s Eve, came with surprises.
“There’s a knock on the door, and there’s Shaq wearing a bright pink three-piece suit, with little skinny grey pinstripes, with a pink derby hat. He took me over his shoulder, kicking and screaming, I’m in my sweats, everyone’s dressed up,“ she added. “I knew what happened at midnight. Right before the clock struck midnight, I ran under the dining room table because what he does is, he moons people, and puts his butt on your head. That’s Shaq.”
Abdul’s story adds to the growing list of Shaquille’s unforgettable memes off the court. For her, having him as a neighbor was equal parts chaos and comedy.
