Mike Tyson misses out as top 10 greatest boxers of all time ranked in controversial list
The 10 best boxers have been named and ranked.
The top 10 greatest pound-for-pound boxers of all-time have been named and ranked, with several big names missing out.
BoxRec named and ranked the 10 greatest fighters in history.
Despite gracing the cover of the publication, Mike Tyson is snubbed of a spot in the entire list.
Tyson is still the youngest world heavyweight champion in history, winning the WBC belt against Trevor Berbick, aged just 20 years and four months.
But his achievement is not enough to warrant him a spot in the list.
However, heavyweight greats Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey are among the top ten.
Ali, a three-time world heavyweight champion, is ranked tenth, with Louis and Dempsey ranked sixth and fourth respectively.
Tony Canzoneri is ranked ninth, having fought for championships between bantamweight and light-welterweight.

Canada’s Sam Langford enters the list at eighth following his stellar career. He’s considered by many boxing critics to be one of the greatest boxers in history.
Next up is Mickey Walker, who sits in seventh place. He held undisputed status at both welterweight and middleweight at different points in his career.
Joe Louis reigned as the world heavyweight champion from 1937 until his initial retirement in 1949. He’s ranked sixth.

Benny Leonard, Jack Dempsey and Heny Greb are ranked fifth, fourth and third respectively.
Leonard held the world lightweight championship for eight years while Dempsey held the world heavyweight title from 1919 to 1926.
As for Greb, he fought 298 times and was the world middleweight champion from 1923 to 1926. He competed as high as heavyweight despite starting as a welterweight.
In second place is Henry Armstrong, who is known for being the only fighter to ever hold world championships in three divisions (featherweight, lightweight and welterweight).
Sugar Ray Robinson tops the list, having enjoyed a legendary career. He is widely regarded as the greatest boxer in history, with BoxRec hailing him as the best-ever.
