The controversy surrounding Bad Bunny’s record-breaking performance in February hasn’t quite left the news cycle. But once the Puerto Rican’s performance was over, speculation over the next halftime artist was widespread
Fans have been looking forward to the next show for weeks now, although it’s almost a year away.
It’s been rumored that the NFL is considering Korean pop group BTS as the 2027 headliners.
“The NFL is in talks to let BTS, a Korean-pop group, perform at the Super Bowl LXI halftime show,” parody X account Daily Noud shared on Friday.
“Super Bowl halftime shows are the new geopolitical stage, K-pop bridging continents while football bridges fandoms. Imagine the analytics on streaming spikes after this,” someone wrote in the comments.

While the rumor comes from a parody account, they didn’t pull it out of thin air.
A poll saw the Korean band rake in 85 percent of the votes after Billboard.com asked readers who should perform at the next Halftime Show last month.
BTS is expected to have a massive year leading up to Super Bowl 61 and could follow a potential notable Grammys night with a Super Bowl performance, much like Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny over the past two years.
Fans have also been looking forward to a Taylor Swift performance, but the pop sensation is unlikely to headline in 2027 following Travis Kelce’s decision to return to the Chiefs.
Kelce signed a one-year deal with Kansas City this week, crediting his fiancée for motivating him.
Swift previously revealed she would not consider performing as long as Kelce remains in the league.
