This Morning welcomed a major Hollywood star into the studio as Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard interviewed the cast from The Morning Show

ITV fans are urging for a major Hollywood star to join This Morning after she appeared on the daytime show. Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard sat down with the cast of the hit Apple TV+ series, The Morning Show, which has Reese Witherspoon starring in a lead role. The series has returned for a fourth season today (September 17), having picked up three Emmys last year. The show follows the lives of staff working on a huge American news programme, which also features host Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston).

During their promotion of the show on This Morning, Reese even got to have a go at presenting a daytime programme in real life and “replaced” Cat Deeley during a segment. As the programme went to an advert break, Reese said to the camera: “Do you want me to do Cat? Okay! Coming up next on This Morning, there’s more drama for Carla on Corrie and is Emmerdale’s John wearing any pants under that hospital gown?”

She continued: “We’re gonna find out. Sharon Marshall has all the latest from your favourite soaps – and did you know it’s already time to start thinking about your Christmas shopping. We’ll be revealing how AI can save you time and money. Right here, on This Morning.”

Fans absolutely adored Reese and reacted on social media, with one delighted fan typing: “Oh wow, dying at Reese Witherspoon introducing Corrie and Emmerdale news with @sharontweet on This Morning.”

Another person also echoed: “If Reese hosted this morning, I wouldn’t complain. #thismorning.” A third also typed: “I’m sorry Reese Witherspoon saying ‘Carla on Corrie’??? I think I just died.”
