VIDEO: Adam Schefter Reveals Two Shocking NFL Coaches Who Are Expected To Be Fired After Week 18

ESPN insider Adam Schefter has named two coaches he expects to lose their jobs following this weekend’s games.
This coming Monday will be the NFL’s “Black Monday” as teams are set to hand marching orders around the league.
Three coaches have already been fired during the season—Robert Saleh, Dennis Allen, and Matt Eberflus—and Schefter reckons another two will join them after Week 18.
The insider appeared on ESPN’s ‘NFL Countdown’ on Sunday morning, where he reviewed a list of coaches and predicted whether they would be fired or spared the axe. According to Schefter, Antonio Pierce, Brian Callahan, Brian Daboll, Mike McCarthy, and Shane Steichen should all be safe, while Jerod Mayo and Doug Pederson are likely on the out.
Adam Schefter Gave Some Background
Mayo is in his first season with the Patriots, having come in as the replacement for Bill Belichick. He has done little to improve their fortunes, with the team 3-13 heading into the final game of the season.

“All along, the Kraft family has wanted to stand by him and give him support. He was the hand-chosen successor to Bill Belichick,” Schefter noted. “But over the last 30 days or so the team has struggled, they’ve lost at home, fans have been angered, they’ve been apathetic, and it feels like within the organization—there’s been a shift.”
On the bright side, they’re holding onto the No. 1 overall pick, which should be a nice welcome present for an incoming coach.
“There’s nervous people inside the building right now. We are gonna go ‘leaning OUT’ right now for Jerod Mayo,” he added.
Pederson, meanwhile, has led the Jaguars to two consecutive 9-8 seasons. He also coached them to the AFC South title and a playoff win two seasons ago. The under-fire head coach is heading into Sunday’s game with a 9-8 record.
“He recognizes that this could be his last game today. It’s no secret. Everybody feels like we’re expecting what’s inevitable in Jacksonville,” Schefter said.
