Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas locked horns as they disagreed over George Clarke’s performance on Strictly Come Dancing. The YouTuber, 25, and Alexis Warr performed their Couple’s choice to Soda Pop from K-Pop Demon Hunters. Shirley praised George’s routine, branding it “synchronised to perfection” and “precise”. She added: “You were flying like an angel. It was unbelievable.”

Anton Du Beke said the influencer is a “super good” dancer, however, claimed the first half of the dance was a “little reserved” for his liking, adding that it “lacked edge”. Presenter Tess Daly noted that Shirley was shaking her head before moving onto Craig. “I think Anton Du Beke is actually right. It needed to be sharper.”

Addressing Shirley directly, Craig said: “I don’t agree with you. I think it was out of sync, a lot actually.”

The head judge hit back: “From that end of the desk it might look one way but from this end of the desk, it looked bloody fabulous love.”

Craig declared: “Shirley, you’re wrong!”

He continued: “This type of dance has to be absolutely height and and everything specific. That’s why it looks like one person dancing and it wasn’t like that throughout, unfortunately.”

However, he did go on to appreciate the difficulty of the performance. “But it is a very difficult dance. I think it was an enormous challenge that you coped with admirably.”

Motsi Mabuse noticed the tension between the pair as she quipped: “I feel like a child in between mummy and daddy having a fight.”

Craig awarded George a 6 for his dance. Motsi and Anton held up 8s while Shirley left the star beaming after giving him a 9. That gave the social media sensation a score of 31 out of 40.

Amber Davies kicked Movie Week off and ended up getting the highest score of the series so far. The Love Island star and pro partner Nikita Kuzmin performed an American Smooth to Sixteen Going on Seventeen from The Sound of Music.

They received an 8 from Craig and 9s from the other three judges, leaving them on a score of 35.
