Gareth Gates fuming as ‘biggest regret’ Katie Price takes cruel swing

Gareth Gates was left furious after ex Katie Price slammed him again on stage and labelled the former glamour model his “biggest regret”.

During her tour with close friend Kerry Katona, Katie did a show in Gareth’s hometown of Bradford. There, after hecklers kept bringing him up, she yelled, “F*** Gareth Gates”.

A source revealed that Gareth was fuming when he heard about the incident, but not surprised. “Gareth was furious when he saw all the stories last week about Katie mentioning him,” the source said. “He knows there is a risk that Katie will bring him up every time she goes on stage and it’s always horrible. It never gets any easier.”

They added to The Sun that he’s moved on with his life and wants the same for Katie. According the the source, he feels she is “using his name” repeatedly for headlines.

“He moved on with his life a long time ago and he really wishes Katie would too – rather than using his name for headlines all the time. It really is his biggest regret.”

The Pop Idol runner-up was only 17 when he had a brief fling with Katie, who was 25 years-old and six months pregnant at the time. Gareth initially denied Katie’s claims that they’d been together but admitted it over ten years later.

“I denied the whole Jordan thing because I was 17. I didn’t want my family to find out about my sex life,” the singer said. “If I hadn’t lied it wouldn’t have been a big deal, my family, friends and fans wouldn’t have felt as let down I guess.”

Katie has claimed that it was their relationship that got Gareth’s career going. In her 2021 book, Harvey and Me, she wrote: “Hello Gareth Gates! He wanted a bit of Pricey – even when I was six months pregnant.

“He denied losing his virginity to me at first, but once he finally admitted it, wasn’t that when his career started? Anyway, swiftly moving on…”

Katie’s current boyfriend JJ Slater has said he’s worried about Katie and fears she’s “running herself into the ground”. Katie herself sparked concern after being unsure about why she’s undergone a dramatic weight loss. JJ echoed fans’ worries, as a source said: “JJ is terrified of her losing any more weight. It’s not an easy thing to sit back and watch your partner running themselves into the ground health-wise.”

Her family are said to be worried too: “JJ and Katie’s family think she is putting way too much pressure on herself. She’s been constantly on the move with tour shows, but isn’t right mentally or physically – something she knows deep down.”
