Rumours are swirling that Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, could be lacing up his dancing shoes for the next season of Strictly Come Dancing, and it sounds like he might have support from the very top.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold weighed in on the speculation.

He suggested that both the king and queen would be fully supportive of Tom joining the beloved BBC dance show, which is said to be a favourite of Camilla’s.

Speaking on behalf of Prime Casino, Grant shared, “Tom Parker Bowles is technically not a member of the Royal Family. But he’s trying to raise his profile.

I know he does cookbooks. I can imagine him doing well. He’s a nice guy, has a good personality, and he’s relatively well known. He’s friends of friends of mine, so I know him quite well, he’s quite a comical guy. I think he could get far on Strictly as he’s very entertaining.”

While Tom Parker Bowles is not a working royal, his connection to the queen makes him a figure of public interest. His potential appearance on the hit BBC series would mark a major moment for the extended royal circle.

Grant added that Camilla would likely be thrilled by her son’s participation.

“I think if his mother knew there was a possibility [of him signing up], I think she’d be for it 100%. I think even the king would be all for it!”

He even hinted that Queen Camilla herself might consider a turn on the dancefloor one day.

“I could even see Camilla doing Strictly one day, you never know. We have seen the royals getting involved in similar game shows before, such as Princess Anne on Question of Sport.”

While the BBC has not confirmed the lineup for the upcoming Strictly series, fans are already speculating about what Tom’s participation might look like.

Queen Camila ‘redesigned’ Princess Diana’s wedding gift

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla has reportedly transformed a valuable heirloom once gifted to Princess Diana into a brooch.

The diamond-and-emerald necklace was originally part of Queen Alexandra’s 1863 collection.

It was later given to Diana by the Queen Mother in 1981 as a wedding gift.

Diana wore the necklace at royal events, including a gala in Vienna and a Toronto dinner during her tour with Prince Charles.

After Diana’s death in 1997, the necklace returned to the Royal Collection.

In 2019, Camilla debuted the redesigned piece, now a brooch, at Prince Charles’ 50th anniversary celebration as Prince of Wales. Princess Kate later wore the brooch in 2022 at the Horse Guards Parade.

Experts estimate its value at over £98,000. The brooch has retained its royal symbolism, including diamond ostrich feathers representing the Prince of Wales.
