EXCLUSIVE: Loose Women star Myleene Klass opened up on what the ITV cuts mean for the show

Presenter Myleene Klass has opened up on the future of Loose Women after ITV announced that it is making a number of changes to its daytime shows, resulting in job cuts. The 47-year-old, who first joined the panel show back in 2014, shared her hopes that all of her colleagues “will be ok” as she admitted that the situation is “extremely sad”.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the former pop star emotionally shared: “I’ve been in the public eye for 25 years. The landscape of TV and media has continued to change at a rate of knots. It’s extremely sad for the Loose Women family, the cast and crew, as they’ve built a community. There’s even a Loose Women WhatsApp group. Life moves very quickly, which is both a good and bad thing depending, and so I just hope that everyone will be ok and find new avenues.”

It comes as ITV announced a number of changes to its daytime programming, including cutting Loose Women from 52 weeks down to 30. The show has also moved from London’s Celebro from White City – meaning a much smaller studio.
Away from the show, Myleene has recently collaborated with Life360, the world’s leading family connection and safety app, to launch the Parental Panic Hotline in collaboration with Calm.
This temporary service offers a safe space for parents to vent, recharge, and access an exclusive guided meditation voiced by Myleene herself.
Speaking about the collaboration, Myleene told us: “I’m really excited to team up with Life360 to launch the Parental Panic Hotline, as I know all too well how overwhelming the back-to-school period can be.
“Parents can call the hotline to hear motivational messages from me, enjoy a relaxing meditation, or simply scream into the void—all of which are big stress relievers for me.”
She added: “I think with all the attention being on the kids as they head back to school, it’s important we recognise there are parents, carers, aunties and uncles all propping up these kids and they might need a bit of support and acknowledgement too.
“They’re essentially the engine room. No one has it easy, and whilst it’s a privilege to have and raise our children, it’s also really hard work and can feel like everyone’s got it sorted and you’re flailing at times. There’s power in vulnerability and solidarity!”
