Yolanda Hadid – whose son dated Nicola Peltz – has reached out to Victoria Beckham on social media in the wake of David’s knighthood news in an intriguing twist in the family feud saga
Yolanda Hadid has reached out to Victoria Beckham
Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has found an unlikely ally after son Brooklyn’s father’s day snub – a fellow matriarch who also has history with Nicola Peltz.
Yolanda Hadid – the mum of supermodels Gigi and Bella – pointedly reached out to Victoria following news of her husband David’s knighthood.
Yolanda is understood to have had a strained relationship with Nicola after she dated her son Anwar, for 18months.
The 61-year-old was said to be upset at the age difference between Nicola, who was 22, and Anwar, 18. Nicola later unfollowed all the Hadid family after they split up.
Despite the two women not being known as friends, Yolanda last week reacted online to Victoria’s post about husband David receiving his honour.
She posted a love heart on social media as 51-year-old Victoria messaged how David had “always been my knight in shining armour…but now it’s official.”

Gigi and Bella have previously walked Victoria’s catwalk show for Paris Fashion Week, in 2022, with the sisters posing up backstage with Victoria’s daughter Harper.
Nicola and Anwar’s brief romance came while she was carving a career out as an actress. In one interview she said of Anwar: ‘Honestly, he is an angel. He’s such an amazing person. He comes from such an amazing family. Gigi and Bella are so, so sweet. I just love his family so much. They’re feminine, strong girls. To have that around is amazing.”
Sources close to Nicola insisted there was no bad blood between her and the Hadids and that her unfollowing them was a natural thing to do when a relationship ends. The Hadids didn’t return requests for comment on their relationship with Peltz.
The Beckhams fell out with Brooklyn’s wife after the pair snubbed David’s 50th birthday party earlier this year. There was silence from Brooklyn on Father’s Day last week too. Sources close to Nicola insist there is no chance of reconciliation at the moment given the “highly charged atmosphere.”
Her friends have previously insisted that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”. The claims – described as “parently untrue and ludicrous” by friends of the Beckhams – marked the “nail in the coffin” of any future relationship, according to insiders.

Dad David marked Father’s Day at the weekend by sharing a touching photo of him and son Brooklyn from before they became estranged. Becks, 50, and wife Victoria both included their eldest in social media posts to mark the occasion – but he also uploaded a separate picture of them laughing over a glass of wine captioned: “Love you @brooklynpeltzbeckham” with a white heart emoji.
Cruz Beckham, 20, posted a snap of him and his dad on holiday, writing: “Happy Father’s Day I love you.” And Romeo, 22, said he “loves his dad so much” as he posted a series of pictures of them together – but there was no message from Brooklyn.
