Lane Kiffin is believed to have walked into an awkward situation at Louisiana State University following his decision to move on from Ole Miss.
The new Tigers head coach announced his departure from Mississippi via social media on Sunday. And, now set to take over on the back of Brian Kelly’s dismissal, he will likely be coaching one player with romantic ties to his family.
As it turns out, Lane’s daughter, Landry, is dating LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.
The pair hard-launched their relationship via Instagram just months ago. And, despite her father’s $91 million payday, Landry has been hailed the winner of the move, given that she will no longer have to choose between her BF and her dad.
They will all be under the same roof.

As far as revelations go, Landry’s couldn’t have come at a more awkward time. The couple went IG official a few days before the Tigers played the Rebels in September.
Now, her dad is going to be coaching her love interest, which could make things awkward for the coach and player. But she won’t be bothered, something she made clear in her message for angry Ole Miss fans after the announcement.

As per custom, the new Tigers HC attended an introductory press conference on Monday.
Weeks accompanied Kiffin and his family, with cameras catching them together in the front row.
“This place is built for championships with championship expectations – we understand that – but as an elite competitor, that’s exactly what you want, and that’s why we’re here,” the coach was quoted as saying.
The LB was also the subject of a viral rumor on the day, with a fake report about his future plans duping several fans.
