Jeremy Clarkson has given fans a glimpse into his farm, Diddly Squat, and what will make his partner Lisa Hogan “sad”. The former Top Gear host has revealed that his new book about Clarkson’s Farm, titled Diddly Squat: The Farmer’s Dog, has now been published. Since 2021, Jeremy’s Amazon series Clarkson’s Farm has become a major success, documenting his life running Diddly Squat Farm with partner Lisa Hogan and co-star Kaleb Cooper, earning widespread acclaim and global viewership. As well as his farm, Jeremy added his new pub, The Farmer’s Dog, which became the main subject during the episodes of series four. His book is the fifth instalment in his Clarkson’s Farm book series.

Showing off the book in a store, Jeremy can be seen standing in front of the book section of a shop. He says in the video: “Look at this, it’s my new book, The Farmer’s Dog.

“It’s about a year on the farm and what it was like to open a pub, and I thought I’d read you an excerpt from it, give you a flavour.

“We can’t find a reindeer, so I’m having to use a normal deer with antlers taped to its head. Exciting stuff, The Farmer’s Dog.” He then referred to the Gavin & Stacey book, When Gavin Met Stacey and Everything in Between, and said: “Better than that.”

Fans can read a sample of the book online, where Jeremy details how Lisa Hogan bought five sheep “for no reason.” He describes how the sheep were “expensive to buy” and they have no faces, so they look like “they’re from a horror film.”

He wrote: “We can’t ever sell or eat them. Instead, we just have to wait for the day when they think of a particularly revolting way of killing themselves. And then Lisa will be sad, and I’ll have to pretend I’m sad as well.”

The good news about his book will be welcoming for Jeremy, who has been recently left devastated after the first calf born on his Diddly Squat Farm was destroyed due to an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis.

The TV star has been hit by an outbreak of the illness within his herd, and he revealed his beloved cow – the first to have been born on his farm – had to be put down after testing positive for the disease, even though she was pregnant with twins.

In a post on Instagram, the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host wrote: “This was the first calf ever born at Diddly Squat. And this morning she was destroyed, while pregnant with twins, because she has TB. So sad.”
