The Chase star Anne Hegerty issued health warning from doctor following two-stone weight loss
‘I’m not doing anything deliberately’
The Chase star Anne Hegerty has issued a health update after her doctor recommended she start using weight loss jabs.
The 67-year-old, who is also known as The Governess on the ITV game show, sat down for a new interview and opened up about her life off-screen.

Anne Hegerty’s health update
While speaking to Yours magazine, Anne revealed her doctor informed her that she is pre-diabetic.
According to the NHS, “People with pre-diabetes are at greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes, but the risk can be reduced through lifestyle changes.”
Weight loss jabs are a medicine for adults with type 2 diabetes that may improve blood sugar. Following her diagnosis, Anne said she has been advised to take the jabs. The injections are typically recommended alongside dieting and exercise.
“My doctor said to me about me being pre-diabetic, and suggested [weight loss jabs], and I told him I’d think about it, but I’m only thinking about it,” she said.
“And it’s only because he said it’s to stave off diabetes. I think I’m OK, but I’ll bear it in mind.”

Anne’s two-stone weight loss
Recently, Anne has also lost two stone in weight. According to the TV star, she’s not intentionally chosen to.
“I’m not doing anything deliberately, except I did think to myself that I needed to get more active, because I really don’t walk much, and I should do more of that,” she said.
She also insisted she needs to “do more stretches because I’ve got no core strength”, stating: “That may be a good idea.”
While competing on I’m A Celebrity in 2018, Anne said she lost a stone. However, she was informed by the show’s medics that “everyone always puts it straight back on again” when they leave the jungle.
