Piers Morgan revealed his stepdad suffered a brutal injury after a recent fall before he delivered another blow to his loved one

Piers Morgan has often spoke about the cheeky rivalry with his stepdad, Glynne Pughe-Morgan, over their beloved football clubs. The Uncensored host, 60, is a hardcore Arsenal fan but his dad supports the team’s bitter rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs. Taking to X on Thursday, Piers couldn’t resist taking a cheeky pop at his family member after sharing Glynne had suffered six rib fractures. While he was inundated with messages of support for his dad, the former Good Morning Britain delievered bad news to Glynne which proved even more “painful”.
Piers tweeted: “My Spurs-supporting father suffered six rib fractures in a fall last week, but when I called to break the news that Eze had ditched Tottenham for Arsenal, he said that was significantly more painful.” His post comes just hours after it was announced The Gunners had signed former Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze trumping their rivals Tottenham Hotspur, who had agreed terms with both Crystal Palace and the player hours before Arsenal swooped in.

Social media users flocked to comment on the post as one quipped: “He’s your father!! Take it Eze on him.”
Another agonised: “That’s the kind of heartbreak no painkillers can fix,From broken ribs to a broken heart-Eze choosing Arsenal over Spurs really hit harder than the fall. North London rivalry is something else.”
“That’s the kind of agony no painkillers can touch,” a third wrote.
While a fourth added: “Wishing your father a speedy recovery.”

The Gunners have been busy and aggressive in this window, signing six players for around £190m before the Premier League season even kicked off.
Piers was born in Surrey in 1965 to his English mother Gabrielle and his dentist dad Vincent Eamonn O’Meara.
Vincent tragically died in a road accident when Piers was just 11 months old and brother Jeremy was three.
His mother Gabrielle went on to marry Glynne Pughe-Morgan, with the family deciding that Piers should take his surname.
