Kate Winslet ‘thrilled’ to team up with King Charles for The King’s Foundation
Kate joins other famous faces in her new role
Kate Winslet has an exciting new role linked to King Charles after her recent meeting with the monarch.
The actress, 49, attended The King’s Foundation annual awards ceremony at St James’s Palace earlier this month.
Now, in a new announcement, Titanic star Kate has been revealed as the foundation’s latest ambassador. She joins a string of famous faces in the role, including former footballer David Beckham.

Kate Winslet announced as ambassador for King Charles’ foundation
In a video shared to the official King’s Foundation Instagram page, Kate said: “I am so thrilled to become an ambassador for The King’s Foundation, particularly as the charity celebrates its 35th anniversary this year.
“The King’s Foundation does such fantastic work to prioritise and protect nature, and our wonderful planet. In particular, championing field to fork farming, as well as getting young people outdoors and learning about our beautiful countryside, and how we can all play a part in protecting its future.”
Kate said these things are “deeply important” to her.
The Holiday actress added: “I am really looking forward to collaborating with the other ambassadors so we can discuss ways in which we can collectively make a positive difference.”
The King’s Foundation ambassadors
So, who does Kate join? Well, football legend David Beckham – who has been honoured with a knighthood in 2025 – is an ambassador for the foundation.
Meanwhile, TV gardener Alan Titchmarsh, TV presenter George Clarke, and Rod Stewart and wife Penny Lancaster are among them.

Fans appeared thrilled for Kate. One person gushed: “A wonderful addition to the team!”
Another wrote: “This is amazing, exactly what we need right now.”
In a statement, Kate revealed what she has in common with the king.

She said: “I am delighted to become an Ambassador for The King’s Foundation in the charity’s 35th anniversary year. One of my passions is exploring ways that we can protect and promote the natural world – something I have in common with His Majesty!
“I am therefore thrilled to put this passion into practice by working with The King’s Foundation. I look forward to supporting the charity’s life-changing work to build sustainable communities and transform lives into the future.”
When did King Charles launch his foundation?
King Charles founded The King’s Foundation in 1990 when he was the Prince of Wales.
According to the foundation’s website, it “works globally to create sustainable communities through our placemaking projects and transform lives through our practical education programmes”.
