Tommy Fury and partner Molly-Mae have split up after five years together, with the boxer’s father John having predicted the seperation two years ago during the family’s Netflix documentary
Tommy Fury’s father John predicted his son would split up with partner Molly-Mae two years ago.
The couple announced their split over the weekend after five years together. They met on reality dating show Love Island in 2019, on which they finished as the runners-up.
They went on to have a daughter Bambi together, with Fury proposing last summer. But they have now decided to seperate, with Molly-Mae announcing the news in a statement on social media.
Remarkably though, it has now emerged that John actually predicted that the couple would end up seperating. The family were featured on the Netflix documentary ‘At Home With The Furys’, which was filmed during the summer of 2022.
At the time Molly-Mae was pregnant with Bambi and during an episode she approached John to tell him she’d learnt some traveller lingo to impress him. The 59-year-old responsed with a dig about their relationship status.
Speaking to his son’s then girlfriend, John said: “It’s a boxer’s life, it’s a boxer’s wife’, to which Molly-Mae replied: “Not a wife yet, one day!”
In a concerning prediction about what would happen two years later, John replied: “If you’re not now, in the condition you’re in, you’re never gonna be, are ya?” before the pair then both laughed at his comment.
Just a year after their engagement, Molly-Mae took to Instagram to announce the break-up. She said: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without is there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
“I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all bee a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all now. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I’ll be back when it feels right.”
Tommy is yet to set up his next fight and has admitted to being left ‘heartbroken’ over his break-up with Molly-Mae. He said: “I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.

“The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. “Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families’ privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.”
