Travis Kelce drops subtle hint over his retirement plans after mixed season with Kansas City Chiefs

Kelce also revealed if Swift will attend the Chiefs playoff game this week

TRAVIS Kelce revealed a clue about his plans for the future after a mixed-bag season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 35-year-old Kelce and the Chiefs will prepare to face the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs this weekend.

On Monday, Kelce appeared on ESPN’s hit program The Pat McAfee Show.

During his appearance, the former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee asked the 10-time Pro Bowl tight end how he was feeling coming off the first-round bye in the playoffs.

And Kelce answered the question, reciting a line from his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s hit song 22 in the process.

“I’m fired up, I’m feeling 22 all over again baby,” Kelce said.

“Let’s go!!”

McAfee understood the reference and the show’s cast began singing the song’s chorus to the delight of Kelce, who performed a little dance.

“I was hoping you caught the reference, baby,” he added.

Kelce then shared that he was “ready to rock and roll” as his Chiefs eye the league’s first-ever three-peat.

The three-time Super Bowl champion’s answer to McAfee comes as retirement rumors have been in the air concerning the veteran.

Kelce didn’t exactly wow on the stat sheet this season like in years past.

He posted 97 receptions with career-lows in yards (823) and three touchdowns.

During the ESPN show, Kelce confirmed that Swift will be at Arrowhead on Saturday night to support him.

When speaking about the game, McAfee asked about Swift, saying, “Is there going to be an “aura” in that place?

“A little extra, you know what we’re talking about?”

Kelce admitted, “Oh yeah, you know it baby. It’s playoff football, man.”

‘Well-talked-about personal life’

Travis Kelce was asked about his relationship with Taylor Swift during an interview with Good Morning America.

But the Kansas City Chiefs tight end gave a cagey response.

“When you have good family and friends around you, it makes that aspect of life that much easier,” Kelce told GMA.

“I’ve always been a very grounded guy. It might not come off that way when I’m playing football.

“But off the field, I just want to be a genuine person. I try not to get too far down the road.

“Because you never know what opportunities are going to present themselves.”

Swift missed just one Chiefs home game in the regular season – and that was only because she performed the final leg of her sold-out Eras Tour show.

She appeared at Arrowhead in Week 15 when the Chiefs defeated the Texans – the same opponent as this coming week.

Swift got to support Kelce in all of his playoff games last season, including the Chiefs’ Super Bowl overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas last February.
