Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in ‘honeymoon period again’ amid divorce rumours

The couple tied the knot in May 2018

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been plagued by divorce rumours in recent months – and now she has seemingly shut any speculation down.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to be stronger than ever, with Meghan, 43, revealing it feels like they’re in the “honeymoon period” again.

Ahead of the premiere of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan this week, the duchess spoke to PEOPLE magazine in a new intimate interview.

Meghan Markle gushes she and Prince Harry are in ‘honeymoon period’ amid divorce rumours

Harry, 40, and Meghan began dating in 2016, became engaged in late 2017 and married in May 2018.

In early 2020, they stepped down from their senior royal roles and moved to the United States. They now live in Montecito, California, with their son Prince Archie, five, and daughter Princess Lilibet, three.

It’s almost like a honeymoon period again because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning.

This week, Meghan’s new cooking and lifestyle series With Love, Meghan has premiered on Netflix. It sees the duchess give her top tips and tricks on crafting, cooking, hosting and gardening.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Meghan gushed over Harry’s reaction to her show: “My husband met me when I had The Tig [her former lifestyle blog], and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.”

She added: “It’s almost like a honeymoon period again because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it.”

What Prince Harry said about rumours he and Meghan are separating

Speaking last year, Prince Harry addressed the divorce rumours head-on during an interview.

He said at the New York Times 2024 DealBook Summit in December: “We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times. It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it.”

Recent divorce rumours have been circulating following claims that Meghan’s team had allegedly floated around the idea of a post-divorce tell-all book if she and Harry were to split.

Even a British psychic, dubbed the “new Nostradamus”, predicted that Harry and Meghan could divorce in 2025.

But sources have said the couple are still “hot for each other”.

Meanwhile, Paul Burrell – a former royal butler and a close friend of Harry’s late mother Princess Diana – also addressed the rumours.

Prince Harry and Meghan divorce won’t happen because he would ‘lose too much’

Paul said in an interview with Prime Casino: “Despite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much.

“I think Meghan and Harry have a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible in as short a time as possible.”

Think it’s safe to say Harry and Meghan are doing just fine in their honeymoon period!
