Meghan Markle makes surprise appearance at private With Love, Meghan screening after note from children

Beyond the family tribute, Meghan stunned a group of devoted fans by making an unexpected appearance at a private screening of her show in New York.

A video posted to her Instagram Stories teased the moment with the caption: “A big surprise in store.”

Moments later, Meghan walked into the screening room, where an audience of long-time supporters – many of whom had followed her since her The Tig blog days – erupted in cheers.

“What did you guys think?” Meghan asked, beaming as she greeted her fans.

Congratulations Mumma! We love your show, and we love you!

Attendees were overwhelmed with excitement as they exchanged friendship bracelets with the duchess.

“Had to make sure they saw it first,” Meghan captioned a photo from the event. “The girls that have supported me for nearly a decade!”

The exclusive screening event also featured Tignanello wine. This Italian red inspired the name of Meghan’s former blog, The Tig.

Meghan originally closed The Tig in 2017 as her relationship with Prince Harry became more public.

Now, with With Love, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex is returning to her lifestyle roots – this time, on a global platform with Netflix.

Meghan shows off As Ever ‘tattoos’

Meghan’s appearance at Ludlow House, a Soho House club in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, wasn’t the only surprise of the night.

Several fans proudly showed off temporary tattoos that read “As Ever”.

The inkings paid tribute to Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, which was recently rebranded from American Riviera Orchard following trademark complications.

She showed off two arms with the writing in a social media post with the hashtag “#AsEverForever”.

Meanwhile, in addition to their adorable note to their mum, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, played a small part in the making of the series.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Meghan revealed that Archie took on the role of clapperboard assistant, marking scenes before filming. Meanwhile, Lilibet visited the set with Harry, watching as their mother worked.

Meghan also shared a tender moment between her and Archie. She recalled how he told her one night: “Mama, don’t work too hard.”

With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix

The eight-part series, part of Meghan and Harry’s multi-million dollar Netflix deal, blends cooking, party planning and home entertaining with a personal touch.

Netflix describes the show as a chance for Meghan to share personal tips and tricks while embracing “playfulness over perfection”.

“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection; we’re in the pursuit of joy,” Meghan says in the trailer, which features her mixing cocktails, arranging flowers, and preparing homemade desserts.

With Love, Meghan marks a major moment in Meghan’s career. The duchess is finally re-entering the lifestyle and wellness industry after years of focusing on advocacy work.

While comparisons to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop and Martha Stewart’s empire are inevitable, Meghan insists that her show is more about human connection.

“As a woman, a mum, and a wife, to be able to find yourself again… is a wonderful feeling,” she told PEOPLE.
