The visiting Eagles used the special quarterback sneak to devastating effect, employing it multiple times on one drive to get their second touchdown on Thursday night.
The NFL demanded that refs officiate the play tightly a few weeks ago due to concerns regarding players jumping offside. But it appeared that the very thing happened in the second quarter of the ‘TNF’ showdown, helping Philly to a 17-13 lead and prompting some complaints on X.
“Eagles get away with another false start on a tush push conversion 🙄,” one tweet read.
“Why does the @nfl keep letting the @Eagles jump offside with the “tush push”!” a fan asked.

“This is why tush push needs to be banned. Football is supposed to be entertainment. This ruins the game. No different than changing pass interference rules for more scoring. Nobody wants to watch this s**t,” Dave Portnoy wrote.
The Giants jumped back ahead before halftime, going into the break with a 20-17 lead as the Eagles’ defense struggled without an injured Jalen Carter and botched secondary play, with Quinyon Mitchell also going off injured.
