I’m A Celebrity shock as Ant and Dec deliver bombshell for two campmates

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Hosts Ant and Dec have delivered a shock bombshell to two campmates ahead of the first elimination.

This year’s series is well underway, with the cast including Lisa Riley, Kelly Brook, Shona McGarty, Martin Kemp, Eddie Kadi and Jack Osbourne taking on the brutal bushtucker trials.

They’ve been joined by Alex Scott, Ruby Wax, Aitch, Angryginge and newcomers Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson.

In Tuesday night’s show, Ant and Dec revealed a major shake-up to the format, as the celebrities will now be going head-to-head against each other.

Each celebrity will be competing in a series of trials and challenges, with the winners securing meals in the usual camp, while the losers would have to survive on rice and beans, and be vulnerable to the first vote off.

The first of the challenges aired tonight (Wednesday, 26th November), with Lisa and Martin delving into a box of slime and fish guts using only their mouths as they attempted to retrieve stars, Eddie and Jack racing to get a star off a thread using only their mouth and tongue while being covered in critters, while Ruby battled Tom by guessing how many snakes they could feel in a box.

Meanwhile, Kelly and Vogue had to race to eat a pig’s brain, Alex and Shona had to squeeze the juice out of raw fish eyes and then down a shot of it, and Aitch and Angry Ginge had to scoop offal out a tank they were sat in.

After the gruesome challenges, winners Lisa, Vogue, Jack, Ruby, Alex and Ginge headed to “Win City” to receive six meals for camp that night, while Martin, Kelly, Eddie, Tom, Shona and Aitch had to face “Doomsville”, with rice and beans for their dinner.

However, their horrific trials weren’t over, as the end of the show saw Ant and Dec reveal that one pair of rivals would go head-to-head for a rematch.

After a re-match between Vogue and Kelly, Ant and Dec confirmed two more stars would take on another trial.

“The public have been voting to see one pair of rivals in a re-match,” Ant began, explaining that the winner would receive food for the whole camp.

Taking part in “The Pits”, it was confirmed Aitch and Ginge would be up against each other again.

Last night, viewers were desperate to pit the two friends against each other.

“Ginge and Aitch head to head please can we make this happen their competitiveness will be cinema,” one fan wrote.

Another said: “If Aitch and Ginge go head to head in next trial it will be TV gold please.” “Oooo the vote for the group stuff seems pretty cool,” another added.

This comes after I’m A Celebrity bosses insisted this will be the “toughest” year yet, with executive producer Olly Nash telling The Daily Mail: “It’s a tough and gruelling show, and there’s nothing wrong with driving that home.

“We need to see more celebrities earning their keep, that’s the most important thing.

“We have more celebrities taking part in the trials than we ever have before, so it’s more of a competition.

“Last year, we had a great positive happy cast that all joined together and had a happy time.

“This year they are going to have to fight more, earn more and play a bigger part in camp.”
