Former Strictly Come Dancing star Lisa Armstrong previously wowed the judges and audience on the BBC ballroom show, but it isn’t the first time that she has showed off some dance moves on a stage. The 49-year-old is an award-winning makeup artist and hair designer for the stars but shot to fame when she married one half of presenting duo Ant and Dec.
She tied the knot with Ant McPartlin in 2006 but they split after 11 years in 2018. The divorce was granted quickly in court, with Lisa having cited intolerable conduct on the part of the respondent. Both have since moved on with Ant marrying his new partner, Anne-Marie Corbett, in 2021, while Lisa split from her partner, James Green, in 2023. Despite the very public fallout, Lisa has remained in the spotlight as she continues to glam up celebrity clients. However, make up hasn’t always been the foundation of her career. Just like Ant, she once was also in the music industry.

Speaking to the Royal Television Society back in 2020, when asked what she did before make up, Lisa shared: “I was a dancer and went to the Brit School in Croydon, and then joined the pop group Deuce.
“We toured the country for a couple of years but, when that came to an end, I was at a loss. I was 21 and thought, ‘What the hell do I do now?'”
The 90s pop band was made up of quartet Kelly O’Keefe, Craig Robert Young, Lisa Armstrong and Paul Holmeswere. The band was put together by Tom Watkins, who had managed East 17, Bros and the Pet Shop Boys.
Deuce was formed in 1994 and they had their first crack at the charts the following year. They enjoyed four hits during the mid-nineties, with their most famous track being I Need You.
Kelly O’Keefe made the shock decision to quit the pop group Deuce in November 1995 and following her departure dancer Amanda Perkins was recruited to replace her.
However, the bands next and final single No Surrender didn’t hit the same, with it charting at Number 29 and the band split in 1997.
