Emmerdale viewers were sickened as John Sugden returned to the woods and struck again

Emmerdale fans were left disgusted as the soap returned to ITV with more “sick” acts from murderer John Sugden (played by Oliver Farnworth). In Monday’s episode (August 25), the Paramedic Practitioner returned to the woods armed with his bow and arrow just days after shooting Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) with it. He was last seen in the village on Thursday (August 21) when he was chased through the woods by John after working out that he killed Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter), but he was shot with an arrow and collapsed to the floor.

While the villagers, including his wife Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), remain concerned about his whereabouts, John could be seen wandering through the woods looking for an unlucky deer to blame after Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) questioned the blood on his car. After finding a herd of animals, John raised his bow and arrow and tragically shot the innocent deer.

Viewers quickly aired their distaste for the scene on social media, including one who slammed the storyline and fumed: “Totally uncalled for, Feel like stopping watching #Emmerdale.”

A second fumed: “Really emmerdale shooting a dear with a bow n arrow,” (sic). As another echoed: “John! He killed Bambi, you sick scumbag!”

An enraged viewer complained: “First animal we’ve seen on this show for ages, and John shoots it!”

Another predicted: “I think ofcom might have a few complaints from John killing a dear!”

“John’s too busy spending time in the woods with his stupid bow and arrow playing Robin Hood than being with his ‘husband’ on their getaway,” said a sixth.

This came as John and Aaron are currently on holiday away from the village, as they agreed a few days ago that they needed a break from family drama and are now settled into a little cottage

During Friday’s (August 22) episode, the couple got into a disagreement when John pointed out that Aaron was still thinking about the chaos in the Dales, even though they had agreed to forget about it and focus on one another.

John then went to get some space and was cleaning out his car away from Aaron, although he had no reason to believe there was ulteriour motive behind the clearout Aaron became concerned when he realised there was blood on the mirror.

However, John lied and said that he had hit a deer and felt so bad, he didn’t want to tell anyone.
