Prince Harry is reportedly overwhelmed with worry and “beside himself” with panic over King Charles‘ health after the monarch was recently hospitalised due to side effects from ongoing cancer treatment.

According to a royal insider, the Duke of Sussex is determined to return to the UK — and is “pleading” with Meghan Markle to join him for an emotional reunion with his father.

The king, 76, has resumed royal duties this week and reports suggest he’s on good form. But for Harry, who remains thousands of miles away in Montecito, California, he still has some worries.

Prince Harry is ‘desperate’ for a reconciliation with King Charles

“Knowing his dad was so bad he had to be hospitalised is incredibly worrying for Harry,” a source told Heat. “He’s beside himself and panicking that things will take a turn for the worse before they can make peace with him. No matter what has happened in the past, he still loves his father. Seeing him struggling and not being able to help is breaking his heart.”

Prince Harry, 40, is said to be “desperate” to repair his relationship with his father before it’s too late.

He has reportedly been in frequent contact with royal aides in an attempt to arrange a visit.

The insider added: “He’s pleading with Meghan to come back with him. He’s desperate to be there and he wants her by his side.”

Seeing him struggling and not being able to help is breaking his heart.

The Sussexes’ relationship with the royal family has remained strained since their 2020 exit from royal duties and their bombshell 2021 Oprah interview, in which they alleged mistreatment within the institution.

The release of Harry’s 2023 memoir, Spare, reportedly deepened the rift. The book contained explosive claims about Prince William, Princess Kate and Queen Camilla.

Meghan Markle has ‘serious reservations’ about UK return

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle, 43, apparently feels reluctant to make the journey.

While concerned about Charles’ health, she reportedly fears that her presence after so long could create a media storm and potentially do more harm than good.

“She has very serious reservations,” the insider claimed. “She’s genuinely worried that accompanying Harry could do more harm than good.  It would undoubtedly become a media circus, and her fear is that it could undermine the entire point of the trip.”

But the source claims that Harry believes her making the effort would show the family that they still care – and that it could go a long way in breaking down barriers.

The duke is reportedly reminding Meghan of the once-strong bond she shared with the king. Charles walked her down the aisle at their 2018 wedding after her father pulled out.

Duke of Sussex ‘would love’ to have Meghan with him on UK visit

As Charles continues his battle with cancer and the royal family navigates growing public scrutiny, Harry stands at an emotional crossroads.

His potential visit could mark the beginning of a long-overdue reconciliation – or deepen existing divides, depending on how it’s received.

The source said Harry “would love more than anything to have Meghan with him when he makes the trip”.

Either way, Harry still plans to visit but the source claims he will wait “on the nod from his father’s office”.
