Prince Harry’s Good Morning America admission

The Duke of Sussex‘s thoughts were made in a heartbreaking interview last year.

Ahead of the 2025 Invictus Games, the 40-year-old visited Whistler, British Columbia. It was only a week after he flew from Montecito in California where he lives with his wife and children, to London, to visit his dad.

The dad-of-two spoke to his father about his diagnosis and then made a plan to visit him in person. Reports say they met for under an hour before Charles and Queen Camilla left for a pre-arranged engagement.

He told the show: “I jumped on a plane and went to go see him as soon as I could.

“Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that.”

The prince added he would stop in and see his family as. much as he could with planned trips back to the UK in the future.

When asked if his dad’s illness would unite the royals, he was adamant it would.

The prince said: “Yeah, I’m sure.

“Throughout all of these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis,- again, the strength of the family unit coming together.

“So, yeah, I think any illness, any sickness, brings families together. I see it time and time again, and that makes me very happy.”
