Tyson Fury revealed how much money he has in the bank and made honest career admission before shock boxing retirement
The ‘Gypsy King’ announced his retirement from boxing on Monday afternoon.
Tyson Fury revealed the eye-watering amount of money he had in his bank before his retirement from boxing.
Fury, 36, announced that he was retiring from the sport in a video posted to social media on Monday afternoon.
“Thanks it’s been a blast,” the video’s caption read.
“Thanks to everyone who helped out along the way! Happy new year. Jesus is king now & forever.”
Fury explained how despite hanging up his gloves he “loved every minute” of his illustrious career.
“Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet,” Fury said.

“I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing, it has been a blast, I’ve loved every single minute of it and I’m going to end with this; Dick Turpin wore a mask.”
Of course, his decision comes just over three weeks after he sustained a second consecutive loss at the hands of unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk, 37, is the only man to have handed Fury a loss in the paid ranks, with the ‘Gypsy King’ finishing his career with an impressive record of 34 wins, two losses and one draw from 37 professional contests.
And despite the loss, Fury was paid handsomely for his efforts in the ring. Some reports suggest he received £67.3m, while Usyk pocketed £83.3m.
The Morecambe-based heavyweight discussed how “every single” fight was “for the money” making a u-turn on his comments in 2022 when he explained “it’s not about the money”.

Speaking at a press conference last year he was asked his opinion on his coaches comments regarding how he’d react to sustaining defeat.
“Andy Lee never had £200million in his bank to make him happy, did he?” said Fury.
“So what is my goal, and what is my target?
“It’s not a belt. It’s not a legacy. It’s not a boxing fight. It’s to make as much money as possible.”
Fury was worth $50m in May 2024, according to Forbes.
“I’ve got to have as many fights as I can until the wheels fall off and I’m 50 years old, crippled with a stick, walking down the street,” he added.
“That’s how I’ll be.
“I’ve had 40 professional fights, and I was in every single one of them for the money. If I wasn’t getting paid, I wouldn’t have done any of them. I do it for the dough, but I’m the only one that will tell the truth.
“I don’t come to these places, thinking, ‘Oh my God, I’m on TV. I’m Famous.’ I’m thinking, ‘How much dough can I get at any given moment in my career?’ If you want to fight, the only question I say is, ‘How much?’ I have gloves, I have a body, and I will travel if the money is right. I’m truthful.”
