The inventor admitted his cancer diagnosis gave him ‘a burst of creative energy’
The professional inventor then opened up about his ailing health, and his plans for wife Pippa to take on his work after his death.

In an emotional moment during Thursday’s episode, Steve said he could have “two months or two years, possibly.”

He said: “I don’t know how long I might live.

“I didn’t feel down, as a result of it. I just saw it as another challenge. I thought, I’m going to have to sort something out.

“Actually I had a big creative burst as a result of this. And I’m getting there, Pippa and our son will be able to manage this whole thing.

“I would like to be remembered for the restoration about the mill. But I feel more strongly about the garden.”
