The Celebrity Traitors returned to screens with a fresh episode from the star-studded game of betrayal and deceit. However, Thursday evening’s (October 16) instalment took an unexpected turn as sports presenter Clare Balding was banished from the castle by the famous cast, despite being so close to identifying the traitor. As a result, the 54-year-old was left fuming and declared that “nobody listened” after she was banished when her co-stars turned on her.
During the first episode earlier this month, host Claudia Winkleman revealed that Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan Carr are the traitors of this series, deceiving the faithfuls to believe they are one of them. Following her shock exit, Clare was left enraged after the rest of the faithfuls fell for the traitors’ bluffing strategy. This came after Jonathan and faithful David Olusoga received two votes; meanwhile, Clare received the most with seven.

After leaving, the longtime Wimbledon host revealed that she had actually been a faithful the whole time, which surprisingly led to actor Mark Bonnar punching the table.
However, it was during Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked did Clare learn the identities of the traitors and issued an enraged six-word reaction,
When the spin-off host Ed Gamble gave her a pieces of paper featuring their names, After unveiling Jonathan, Clare said: “Jonathan, Jonathan, I should have stuck on Jonathan. Damn it. That makes me cross because I so nearly went on a big one on Jonathan last night. Argh.”
Much of that frustration was displayed as Clare had been vocal about her suspicions of the late-night talk show host.

As for Cat, the TV star appeared surprisingly impressed and said: “Cat. Oh, that’s funny. Cat’s doing an amazing job. An amazing job.”
Meanwhile Alan’s name being exposed as a traitor left Clare furious as she raged: “Alan, damn it,” and then shouted, “I was right and nobody listened.”
Accepting her defeat, she opened up about her main regret and confessed: “I’m most annoyed about Jonathan because if Charlotte and I had trusted each other, we would have got him.”
As for a personal highlight, Clare revealed that she enjoyed being at the castle as part of a digital detox: “I think my personal highlight was being able to spend quality time with no distractions of phones or anything.”
