Loose Women typically airs for one hour on weekdays with the chat show rounding off ITV’s daytime schedule, which also features Good Morning Britain, This Morning and Lorraine.

However, on Thursday the programme will be replaced by ITV1’s coverage of the first day of the St Leger Festival, live from Doncaster.

The coverage will be led by Ed Chamberlin and Francesca Cumani, with analysis provided by Jason Weaver and Adele Mulrennan as well as reports from Matt Chapman and commentary by Richard Hoiles.

ITV1 will be taken over by the racing from 1pm until 4pm, meaning Loose Women’s usual slot is filled.

Coverage of the second day of the festival will air on Friday at the same time, meaning the chat show will once again be cancelled.

Loose Women will return to TV screens on Monday, 15 September at 12.30pm.
