In the latest Meghan Markle news, the Duchess of Sussex has been praised for a new visit amid the LA wildfires.

The wildfires have ripped through parts of Los Angeles and Southern California and, because of that, so many people have been left with nothing. But it seems Meghan, 43, is trying to help as much as she can.

This isn’t the first time Meghan has shown her support, as she and Prince Harry recently stepped out to volunteer help to those impacted by the fires.

However, their visit soon got blasted with backlash, completely overlooking the point.

But the criticism didn’t slow them down, as Meghan got straight back out there to provide help to different charities that need it.

In a short video shared by charity organisation Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery – which helps teenage victims of the Eaton Canyon Fire – showing the work they are doing to support the victims, Meghan was spotted.

That’s our princess. Always showing up to help.

The mum-of-two dressed very casually, with an LA cap, helping her blend in. But she brought many huge bags of supplies so that she could help.

The charity captioned their post: “And thank you to everyone who showed up on Monday. It was a such a special day! We love you!”

The Instagram post immediately became flooded with praise for Meghan, as news travelled of her support.

One commented: “Meghan continuing to show up and do good.”

Another penned: “Beautiful. Princess Meghan out helping, giving and supporting her community.”

A third hit back at all the negativity Meghan had been receiving. They wrote: “This is what Meghan has been doing since she was a child. Helping others! She did the same in Canada. Same in London. I’m so glad she is pushing towards being herself no matter what anyone has to say. Go on Meghan.”

“That’s our princess. Always showing up to help,” a fourth wrote.

Meghan and Harry face backlash over LA fires

Harry, alongside Meghan, made a surprise appearance in LA to meet the victims of the wildfires last week. The couple served food and donated toys and essential supplies to those who desperately needed it.

However, their appearance was quickly criticised by Hollywood star Justine Bateman who lashed out at the couple. She accused them of using the devastating situation for a “photo  op”.

Meghan’s latest visit comes not only as she and Harry received unwanted attention on their last volunteer session, but also as she delays her Netflix series.

It will premiere on March 4, 2025.

At the time of delay, Meghan released a statement to Tudum, the official companion site to Netflix. She said: “I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California.”
