Reality TV star Charlotte Chilton reportedly has doubts about the accuracy of the paternity test Conor Maynard took after the singer switched testing locations at the last minute. The Traitors star is said to still be convinced the singer is the father of her baby daughter.
Charlotte welcomed her daughter Penelope last year and claimed publicly that Conor is the father throughout her pregnancy. Conor never addressed Charlotte’s comments but on Friday night, the Can’t Say No singer, 32, broke his silence on Friday night regarding the matter.

As he shared the results of a DNA test on social media, Conor told his fans: “Today I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.” Charlotte is yet to publicly respond to Conor’s post but broke her online silence on Wednesday.
Friends of the mum-of-one claim that “Charlotte has always been adamant about who Penelope’s father is” and note the baby girl’s resemblance to the singer. Charlotte, who is still married to her estranged wife, is said to be consulting lawyers about a possible second DNA test.

“Conor has been desperate to distance himself since finding out Charlotte was pregnant. He refused to take her calls or answer messages, and instead put everything into the hands of his lawyers,” a source close to Charlotte has told The Sun. “It’s all been on his terms. Conor even had his team change the testing location. He couldn’t wait to tell the world about the paternity test after getting the results.”
The source claims “Charlotte was blindsided but braced for a battle” and her main priority is ensuring Penelope is protected. They add that The Traitors star’s legal team is looking at options to ensure Conor takes a second paternity test.
Following Conor’s bombshell statement on Friday night, Charlotte took to Instagram for the first time since the revelation on Wednesday – ignoring Conor’s update by posting an adorable picture of Penelope with a caption focussing solely on her daughter: “Those eyelashes!”

Conor’s statement shared on his Instagram Stories read: “Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton’s baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative Today I’ve received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope’s father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.”
He also called for compassion towards those involved, emphasising: “All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news – there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor.”

Charlotte had previously named Conor as her baby’s father soon after finding out she was expecting. Conor, who gained fame covering Drake hits, had a brief romance with Charlotte after they met on the final event night of The Traitors. In October 2024, the celebrity welcomed her baby girl.
Conor took a DNA test and says he is not the father to Penelope
Taking to social media, Charlotte gushed: “Princess Penelope has arrived and we have been enjoying our ‘Penelope bubble’ so much,I am going to be off the radar for a little longer, whilst I enjoy these magical moments with my precious girl! ! Thank you to all that have checked in to make sure I am ok! ! My heart is full xx.”

Later, in an intimate chat with OK! magazine, Charlotte candidly discussed the changes in her family dynamics since Penelope’s birth, including a rough patch they went through initially. She revealed: “We went through a real ‘hate’ phase when I first got pregnant but we’re friends again now and she’s been great.
“And my mum, well, she’s basically taken on the role of the father. She’ll get the bottles sterilised for me, she’ll take the baby when I need it, she’ll make sure I eat dinner, because it’s so easy to get through the day without eating anything. It’s the best diet in the world, looking after a newborn. The weight has come off me.”
