Today fans notice distracting detail in holiday photo featuring Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager
Today fans couldn’t help but notice a rather distracting detail when the NBC morning show released its annual holiday card featuring all of the program’s much-loved hosts.
The festive photo features Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, and Jenna Bush Hager, as well as Dylan Dreyer and Hoda’s replacement Craig Melvin.
Also in the group shot are fellow hosts Sheinelle Jones, Peter Alexander, Carson Daly, Laura Jarrett and Willie Geist.
The ladies looked super glamorous in their glitzy sequin outfits while the male stars of Today appeared dapper in smart suits, with father-of-three Al, 70, opting for a red and green tartan blazer.
Willie, 49, was dressed in a sharp blue suit and was stood on the right hand side next to Dylan, 43, but Instagram users couldn’t help but notice something seemed off about his appearance.
Taking to the comments section, one person questioned: ‘Was Willie photoshopped in?’ to which someone else replied: ‘Absolutely. lol.’
A third person wrote: ‘I said the same thing, Willie was photoshopped!’ while another asked: ‘Why is Willie photoshopped?’
A different person commented: ‘Was @williegeist not available looks like he was added in at the end haha,’ and another joked: ‘Willie was a cardboard cutout!’

Today fans have noticed something rather distracting about the annual holiday photo featuring the morning show’s hosts

One person asked why Willie Geist had been Photoshopped in to the festive line-up photo

Someone else asked the same question about father-of-two Willie, who is positioned on the right hand side

Another Instagram user mocked the editing and asked if Willie was not available on the day
Someone else added: ‘Was Willie Geist photoshopped into the last photo? Curious fans want to know…’ and another asked: ‘I think Willie is screenshotted in (sic).’
In a behind-the-scenes video, which was shared on the official Today Instagram page, father-of-two Willie was nowhere to be seen as the hosts lined up to have their official holiday picture taken.
The hosts were also filmed introducing themselves and revealing who they thought would bring the most holiday spirit this year.
While Hoda, 60, said it would be cohost Jenna, 42, and showed off some interesting dance moves, not one of the TV stars mentioned Willie – nor did he appear in the pre-recorded segment.
However, fans still loved the BTS content as one person commented: ‘An incredible team! Happy holidays guys!!!’ while another said: ‘Heck yeah! Love my NBC Peeps!!!’
Someone else wrote: ‘Looks like ya’ll are having boat loads of fun! Keep smiling and let your light shine,’ and a fourth person added: ‘You guys are too cute!’
Sadly this will be Hoda’s last year celebrating Christmas with her NBC colleagues as the mother-of-two will film her final show on Friday, January 10 after confirming back in September that she had made the decision to quit.
On November 14, it was revealed live on air that Craig, 45, would officially replace Hoda with Savannah, 52, announcing the news.

Last month, it was confirmed live on air that Craig Melvin would officially replace Hoda Kotb when she leaves in January
‘I just want to say that we will spend a week celebrating you. As you mentioned, we have a lot to celebrate,’ Savannah said to Hoda.
‘Though you are irreplaceable, we are so excited about the news in our Today family and that is the person sitting right next to me, our dear friend and talented, wonderful, hard-working, most worthy of this, Craig Melvin is the new anchor of the Today show,’ she continued.
‘And let me just say that the staff, the larger staff found out this morning, and people broke into applause. This is the one of the most popular decisions NBC news has ever made.’
Looking emotional, Craig then gave a speech and said: ‘I am beyond excited and grateful, and I just, you know, I’ve had a lot of conversations yesterday with a lot of people who mean a lot to me, and I want to obviously thank NBC and the folks here who have deemed me worthy.
