Tyson Fury’s astonishing career earnings revealed as ‘Gypsy King’ announces his retirement from boxing
Tyson Fury has announced his retirement from professional boxing.
Boxing legend Tyson Fury’s career earnings have been revealed as the Brit announces his retirement from professional boxing.
Last month, Fury was in action against Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia in a much-anticipated rematch.
Despite putting in a much-improved performance, the Brit was no match for Usyk, who defended his heavyweight titles via a unanimous decision victory.
After the fight, Fury gave a cryptic answer when asked about his future in the sport.
On Monday afternoon, the 36-year-old took to social media to announce his retirement.

In a video, he said: “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet, I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast. I’ve loved every single minute of it.”
The caption read: “Thanks its been a blast. Thanks to everyone who helped out along the way! Happy new year. Jesus is king now & forever.”
Fury will forever go down as one of the best heavyweights of his generation, holding a record of 34 wins, two defeats and one draw from 37 professional bouts.
As a result of his impressive record, Fury has also made a huge amount of money during his time as a boxer.
Tyson Fury’s net worth revealed
According to Forbes, Fury was ranked as the 42nd highest-paid athlete in the world as of May 2024, having earned $42 million in his career and a further $8 million from endorsements.
However, talkSPORT reported that Fury earned a career-high $105 million payday for his first fight against Usyk.
In addition, the prize pool for the rematch was an estimated £150 million, meaning the Gypsy King would have banked much more than the $50 million that Forbes reported back in early 2024.
Previously talking about his wealth, Fury stated that he would not be leaving any of his fortune to his children.

He said: “I want my kids to get their own money, do their own things and be their own people. I don’t believe in just giving all your money to your kids but it will make them weak, spoiled and not value anything, worthless. They’ll end up getting to 35 and never having done anything for themselves, apart from spending dad’s money.
“They’ll be middle-aged looking in the mirror and being disappointed. If I buy my son a Lamborghini as soon as he passes his test, he’ll probably kill himself in it. But he also wouldn’t appreciate it. But if he works hard and gets himself a 2004 Corsa, he will be outside washing the c*** out every day, hoovering it top to bottom. And I will be proud of him because he has done it himself.”
He added: “I will help them with business deals and investments. But I am not a person who will just give everyone an easy life. Hard work, dedication and sacrifice are what makes people strive for different things.”
