Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt is one of the most recent players to have his name attached to a fine.
He received a $5,690 fine for “unsportsmanlike conduct” for his celebration after a sack.
This took place on a play halfway through the second quarter with the Eagles leading 10-0.
During the play, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs botched their blocking assignments causing the pocket to collapse on Patrick Mahomes.
It was one of the many sacks that Mahomes took that night, and the Eagles celebrated accordingly.
However, Hunt took his celebration a bit too far, at least in the eyes of the NFL.
Hunt pretended to draw back a bow and arrow and fire it off into the air.
He didn’t point it at any players, but the NFL still deemed it as a “violent gesture.”
A flag wasn’t thrown for the celebration in the game, but the NFL still determined that it deserved a fine.
NFL fans weren’t thrilled with the league handing out a fine for such a simple gesture and shared their thoughts on social media.
Eagles GM Howie Roseman left bloodied after being ‘hit with beer can’ as fans storm streets for rowdy Super Bowl parade
“A bow and arrow is a violent gesture now?” one fan said.
“Just a completely unnecessary fine,” another fan said.
“Violent gestures if this was 800 BC,” a third fan said.
“Does Kelce get fined every time he does his?” a fourth fan said.
“Violent gestures? Bwahahahahaha. What a joke,” a fifth fan said.

The NFL has made an effort to cut down on the amount of celebrations that mimic weapons.
Many celebrations that haven’t drawn flags in the past have started to receive 15-yard penalties.
Players now have to make sure any celebration they do doesn’t resemble a gun at all or else they could get fined.
This seems to be the first instance that a bow and arrow celebration was fined though.
