Jake Paul’s mom claps back at trolls as he prepares for “Toughest fight yet” against JC Chavez Jr.
Chavez fought the full distance with Canelo in 2017.

Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will fight on June 28 in Anaheim.
Jake Paul may be gearing up for the toughest challenge of his boxing career, but his biggest defender is already in his corner – his mom. Pamela Ann Stepnick isn’t letting the haters slide as her son prepares for a high-stakes showdown against former world champion Julio César Chávez Jr.
During a recent episode of the podcast Impaulsive, Pamela wasted no time shutting down critics who mocked Jake’s upcoming June 28th fight. After hearing the internet trolls talk trash, she delivered a blunt message: “If all those haters want to get in the ring themselves, they can then speak. Otherwise? Just shut up.”
Pamela admitted she didn’t know much about Chávez Jr. at first – but after some quick research, she realized just how serious this matchup is. “He’s a very well-seasoned boxer,” she said, acknowledging the 39-year-old’s massive experience, including 54 career wins and even going the distance with Saul Canelo Alvarez in 2017.
Will Jake be able to silence his critics?
Jake Paul, who holds an 11-1 record with 7 knockouts, made headlines last year when he defeated Mike Tyson in a controversial bout. But many pointed out Tyson’s age gap, suggesting Jake’s victory wasn’t as impressive as it seemed.
Now, with a 10-round cruiserweight clash looming at Honda Center in Anaheim, Jake has two months left to silence the doubters once and for all.

Even Logan Paul chimed in during the podcast, calling this Jake’s “toughest fight yet.” Unlike Tyson, Chávez Jr. is not decades removed from his prime, and this battle is shaping up to be a true test of Jake’s skills.
For Pamela and the Paul family, it’s not about proving internet critics wrong – it’s about showing Jake belongs in the boxing world. “It’s going to be tough,” Pamela said, “but we will see!”
