Meghan Markle reveals son Archie told her ‘don’t work too hard’ in new interview
The duchess has given a rare insight into family life
Meghan Markle has spoken out in a new interview and revealed a touching moment she shared with son Prince Archie.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine ahead of the premiere of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan tomorrow (March 4), the Duchess of Sussex, 43, has opened up about her life in Montecito with Prince Harry and their kids.
This is her most intimate interview yet since marrying Prince Harry, 40, and she has shared details on her new life away from the royal family and her adorable children.

According to PEOPLE, Meghan did the interview after returning home from the Invictus Games.
Harry was still in Canada for the 2025 edition of the Invictus Games while Meghan spoke to the publication. Meghan attended the games for a few days while her children were being looked after by her mother Doria Ragland.
Both Archie and Lilibet, three, were poorly.
Meghan recalled a recent touching moment where Archie told her: “Mama, don’t work too hard.” She gushed it was the “sweetest thing”.

Meghan reveals choice she made before marrying Prince Harry
Elsewhere in the chat, Meghan spoke about a choice she made before she married into the royal family. She married Prince Harry in May 2018.
However, in early 2020, the couple decided to step down from their senior royal roles and become “financially independent”.
Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more.
Harry and Meghan now live in Montecito in California with their two children, and have become somewhat estranged from the royal family.
Before she tied the knot with Harry, Meghan was an actress and had a big presence on social media. However, she had to get rid of her socials and her blog The Tig in order to focus on royal duties.
She told PEOPLE of the decision: “Well, I loved The Tig, but I certainly love my husband more. So that was a choice I made at the time, and I wouldn’t change that for a second.”

Meghan shares details on her children and Montecito life
Meanwhile, the duchess opened up about her and her family’s chilled life in Montecito now. She spoke about why she didn’t want to film her Netflix cooking show at her Montecito house.
She said: “I wanted to protect that safe haven. We’re a close-knit family, and I love those moments — putting Lili down for a nap, having lunch together, having sacred time together at the end of the day. Our kitchen is where Mama just cooks for the family, and with a crew of 80-plus people, that’s a lot of people to have in your house!”
She also revealed she loves cooking breakfast for her family. She said: “I love making breakfast for my family. My husband and Archie both love fried eggs. There’s a lot of bacon around here.”
