Health update

Last night (June 5), Jessie performed an intimate gig at Ronnie Scott’s in London. While sharing a clip of the concert to her Instagram page, Jessie explained she “had 5 breast biopsies the night before this show”.

“I was in some discomfort but so hyped to do it and I didn’t want to cancel. The more I watch this show back I can see my brain working in complete over drive trying not to blurt it all out,” Jessie continued.

The Domino singer insisted that “laughing and making jokes in hard times” is how she is choosing to deal with the diagnosis.

‘Cancer has all gone’

Following her performance at Capital FM’s Summertime Ball, Jessie underwent her mastectomy, which she documented with fans.

Days after having the surgery, the Domino singer revealed today (June 26) that the cancer has been removed.

Other pros included her boyfriend, Chanan Safir Colman, and their son, Sky, who have been supporting her alongside her mother.

“My mum lives with us. Sky just being Sky. Chanan making me feel safe and the messages are 10/10,” she continued.

She also listed some cons, one being: “Not being able to be the mum I’m used to being and not picking sky up or the person I’m used to being tbh.”

She added: ‘The fear of not knowing if the cancer is all gone – the mental with this is [face in clouds emoji].”

Jessie explained the “pain and discomfort is ok and expected” but a “[bleep]head when I’m trying to sleep”. She added that another con is “not pooing from the anaesthetic and the painkillers”.

In a follow-up Story, she added: “Since my surgery I have only been on paracetamol and ibuprofen because my blood pressure is too low for anything stronger and even they have got be backed up like N old chimney. I have had laxatives, a good fresh diet, prunes, juices and your girl is 20% leg and 80% [poo emoji]. Any suggestions welcomed.”
